Auto & General Insurance recently awarded a bursary valued at R200 000 to a past student of the Itirele-Zenzele High School in Diepsloot. The insurer has supported the high school since 2013 with the goal of increasing the matric pass rate.

Following a vigorous selection process, Moleboheng Motsoeneng was announced as the recipient of the bursary.

Moleboheng and her three siblings were raised in Diepsloot by a single mother. At a young age, she developed a passion for computers and always dreamed of furthering her education at a University.

“Auto & General insurance has made my dream a reality and I am so grateful for this incredible opportunity.  I hope to one day join the insurance industry and put my degree to good use,” said Moleboheng.

Moleboheng has been enrolled at the University of Witwatersrand where she is studying towards a Bachelor of Science Degree. She is currently residing in student accommodation in Braamfontein. With all her start up living essentials covered by the Auto & General bursary, she can fully focus on her education.

“The insurance industry is in dire need of highly-skilled individuals and people like Moleboheng, who are driven to succeed, will make an immense contribution to its future. We feel honoured to have given Moleboheng this opportunity and look forward to following her progress in the months and years to come,” concludes Tania Joffe, Head of Auto & General Brokers.
