HIPPO.CO.ZA TO SPONSOR SEASON FOUR OF THE MAN CAVE

Friday, May 13, 2016

The boys of SABC 3’s popular and entertaining lifestyle show, The Man Cave, are back for a fourth season. Now in a new time slot of 18:00 on a Sunday evening, and filmed in a brand new studio (read: Steyn City villa), the brotherhood of Janez Vermeiren, Lunga Shabalala and Siv Ngesi will once again bring viewers the ultimate in gadgets, DIY, adrenalin-packed adventure, fast cars and everything else a high-flyer’s heart desires. Oh, and the boys have brought some equilibrium to the brotherhood in the form of Miss South Africa 2015 finalist, Chanelle Sardinha, who has joined the team as co-presenter. South Africa’s leading financial comparison website, Hippo.co.za, has signed up as a headline sponsor of The Man Cave in 2016.

“Sponsoring The Man Cave for a second season, this time as lead sponsor, was an obvious and natural choice for the brand,” says Derek Wilson, Head of Hippo.co.za. “The Man Cave compares the latest cars in the form of the Hippo Kief and Kommon Wall, and they also compare elements such as lifestyle choices and must-see destinations during other parts of the show; these elements complement the Hippo.co.za brand so the decision to participate as a sponsor was a foregone conclusion. Lastly, the viewership of 3.4 million global citizens, including South African men and women who represent innovation and technology, really resonates with Hippo.co.za’s online-savvy customer base.”

Global citizens lead busy lives, thrive in challenging situations and are not restricted by tradition. These characteristics are inherent to a large portion of Hippo.co.za’s customers, who understand the benefits of using technology in order to save time by getting multiple insurance quotes from a range of South African brands in just minutes.

“We also plan on integrating The Man Cave experience into our customer communications and website. It’s important that we leverage the sponsorship across all Hippo platforms to provide our customers with engaging and interesting content,” concluded Wilson.

Season four of The Man Cave launched in spectacular style on the 31st of March at the Steyn City Parkland Residence, a stone’s throw away from the bespoke Palazzo Steyn. The who’s who of the industry rubbed shoulders while sipping 10-year-old Richelieu whisky, smoking Cuban cigars and feasting on trays of oysters and other delicacies. Lunga gave launch attendees a taste of what they can expect from The Man Cave season four, which aired on the 10th of April.
